After some heavy showers across Melbourne this week, the track at Sandown has been rated Dead 5. While the weather is a little overcast, the going should continue to improve throughout the day. The rail is in the True position which will favour the on pace runners, particularly in short and middle distance races. Otherwise, barriers are of little importance at this course, it is a spacious track and most runners will have their chance in the home straight.
