Melbourne is home to some of the finest thoroughbred racing in the world, with four metropolitan racetracks at Flemington, Caulfield, Moonee Valley and Sandown.

Each track has it's own special characteristics, and moveable rail positions together with Melbourne's famously variable weather can make racing patterns hard to predict.

The Melbourne Track Report provides essential information before you place a bet with a FREE unbiased assessment of the track conditions for weekend Melbourne racing.

Our archives cover the last 10 years of rail positions, penetrometers and weather conditions and we use this resource to assess likely track bias and racing patterns.

Posted every Friday by 6pm and updated on Saturday morning before the races, click on Melbourne Track Report to see the latest information.

During the Spring Carnival, we also provide special editions of the Track Report for all the major mid-week race meetings, and of course this includes an early track report for the Melbourne Cup.
